Mrs Dorcus Schuler of Brentwood sent us this photo. She is William's great granddaughter and has the attached painting hanging in her home. She was told he came home from the war and the family wanted his picture with his new beard and uniform. Records show he was sent from Morristown to Dickson County in May 1863 for 10 days to recruit.
